Bear Head Lake 2012

Back from another fun-filled weekend up to Ely and beautiful Bear Head Lake State Park this past weekend. The park really did a great job of trail grooming considering how little snow they had to work with and we got in a surprising amount of x-skiing both on the trails and on the lake itself. A fringe element of the group snow-shoed however their report was expunged with some comment about "What happens at Bear Head stays at Bear Head". Not quite sure what that means.

Alas, our beloved plush bear head pillows had disappeared since our last visit but the guest house had received a bit of remodelling making it an even cozier place to relax, unwind, and visit. And its fancy new "up north style" dining room table provided perfect ambience for many tasty meals. Thanks to head-chef Dennis and all his sous-chefs for preparing exceptional food this weekend!
